Companions for the Journey
Spiritual direction is the ancient practice of meeting regularly with a trained guide to explore your inner life and deepen your relationship with God.
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is not counseling or therapy—though it can be healing. It's not advice-giving or problem-solving. Rather, it's a contemplative practice of paying attention together to God's movement in your life.
In direction, you bring whatever is on your heart: questions, struggles, joys, doubts, longings. Your director listens deeply, asks reflective questions, and helps you notice where God might be at work.
Sessions typically last 60 minutes and occur monthly. Many find that over time, this regular rhythm of reflection transforms their entire spiritual life.
Is Spiritual Direction Right for You?
Spiritual direction may be particularly helpful if you're experiencing any of the following:
Seeking Deeper Prayer
You want to move beyond rote prayers into a more intimate, contemplative relationship with God.
In Transition
Major life changes—career, relationships, loss—are prompting deeper questions about meaning and purpose.
Facing Discernment
You have important decisions to make and want to listen for God's guidance rather than rely only on logic.
Feeling Spiritually Dry
Your faith feels stale, distant, or disconnected. You long for renewal but aren't sure how to find it.
Processing Grief or Trauma
You want to bring your pain to God and find healing in a spiritually-oriented context.
Integrating Life & Faith
You want your spirituality to permeate every area of life—work, relationships, creativity, rest.
